Add my bank details (SEPA Mail)

Hello 👋

On Meria, you can add your bank details in your account settings:

To automatically verify your bank details, we use SEPA MAIL, a bank verification service that allows us to confirm that the IBAN you provide matches your personal information (first name, last name, company name).

This improves:

  • Security: by preventing fraud and identity theft.

  • Regulatory compliance: by ensuring that we only send funds to accounts that belong to you.

  • Withdrawal speed: fewer errors = faster withdrawals!


I. HOW DO I ENTER MY IBAN?

  1. Go to the “My bank details” page:
    https://dashboard.meria.com/account/bank
    in
    your account settings and enter your IBAN in the window that opens:

  1. After completing a short security check, your IBAN will be pending verification:

    👉 We send your information to SEPA MAIL, which will carry out the verification as quickly as possible. There is no need to contact us about this.

  2. Once the verification is complete, you will receive an email informing you whether your IBAN has been accepted or rejected.

⚠️ For compliance reasons, Meria cannot send bank transfers to a bank account with a different name than the Meria account being used.


II. WHICH IBANS ARE INSTANTLY ACCEPTED?

Currently, SEPA MAIL covers most traditional European banks. Neobanks and some foreign institutions are not yet supported.


III. CAN MY IBAN BE REJECTED EVEN IF IT IS CORRECT?

Yes, in some cases:

  • If your bank is a neobank (Revolut, Boursorama, N26, etc.), SEPA MAIL does not yet support these institutions.

  • If the information you provided in your account (first name, last name, company name) does not exactly match the information held by your bank.


IV. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY IBAN IS REJECTED?

If your IBAN is rejected but was entered correctly, here’s what you can do:

  1. Upload a bank statement (PDF or official screenshot of your IBAN details).

  2. Our compliance team will manually review your document.

  3. Processing time: Allow 1 to 3 business days for validation. There is no need to contact us during this period.


V. HOW TO AVOID A SEPA MAIL REJECTION?

  • Make sure your first and last names in your profile exactly match those on your bank account (no abbreviations or errors).

  • Prefer using a traditional bank account supported by SEPA MAIL for instant validation.
