When you complete your identity verification (KYC) on Dotfile, you may encounter some issues:
A blank page that you can’t use,
The page keeps loading without success,
You’re unable to confirm your first and last name,
You’re using an old phone,
Another issue that prevents you from completing the KYC
What should I do in these situations?
Dotfile works very well, but it uses data from your browser (such as access to the camera). You’ve probably disabled or enabled some options in the past that are now preventing Dotfile from working properly. So you’ll need to go to your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, or another browser) to reset your browsing data and check that camera access is allowed ✅
I’ve done all that and it still doesn’t work, what should I do?
If it still doesn’t work, the issue comes from the specific settings of the device you’re using. In that case, the problem can be solved as follows:
Copy the link of the Dotfile page where you’re doing your verification,
Use another phone (for example, a friend’s phone) and paste the link into the browser,
Complete the verification from this new device (the verification takes about 3 minutes),
👉 We’re aware that it’s not convenient or easy for everyone to get access to another mobile phone, and we’re actively working to resolve this situation. However, for now, this is unfortunately the only solution we have to work around this malfunction.
