Make a recurring bank transfer

Hello 👋

You can set up a recurring bank transfer from your bank to fund your Meria account.

However, for each transfer to be automatically credited to your euro balance, you must create a transfer request in your Meria account before each scheduled payment.

In other words, a recurring bank transfer is not automatically credited to your Meria account: it remains linked to a transfer request that you need to create from your Dashboard.

How do I make a recurring bank transfer to Meria?

To use a recurring bank transfer to fund your euro balance, follow these steps:

  1. Create a transfer request in your Meria account from the “My portfolio” page by clicking “Deposit”, then “Bank transfer in euros”.

  2. Check the amount shown on your transfer request. The minimum amount is €100.

  3. Enter the transfer reference displayed on your Dashboard in the reference or payment details field for your bank transfer.

  4. Make the transfer from a personal bank account in your name. Transfers sent from a joint account or an account whose name does not match the name on your Meria account cannot be credited automatically.

  5. Repeat this check before each occurrence of your recurring transfer, as every transfer must correspond to an active request on Meria.

📚 For more details, see our dedicated FAQ on bank transfers.

Important points to remember:

  • A transfer request is required for every transfer.

  • The amount sent must match the amount shown on the transfer request created on Meria.

  • The transfer reference must be entered correctly.

  • The bank account used must be a personal account and in your name.

  • The minimum amount for a bank transfer deposit is €100.

For recurring purchases (DCA).

If you want to invest automatically at regular intervals, you can also use the recurring purchase (DCA) feature available on Meria.

DCA lets you schedule automatic cryptocurrency purchases based on an amount, frequency, and execution date that you set in advance.

Please note: setting up a recurring bank transfer with your bank does not replace setting up a DCA, and vice versa. These are two different features:

  • A recurring bank transfer is used to fund your euro balance;

  • DCA is used to automate the purchase of a cryptocurrency.

💡 With DCA, if you do not want to create a transfer request every month, you can also fund your euro balance with a transfer for an amount greater than your DCA amount. This lets you keep enough funds in your balance to cover several DCA purchases.

For example, if your DCA is €100 per month, you can make a larger deposit so that you have enough euros in your Meria balance to cover several scheduled purchases, without having to make a new bank transfer every month.

However, if you choose to fund your account as you go using a recurring bank transfer, you will need to create a transfer request on Meria before each scheduled payment.

Why hasn’t my recurring bank transfer been credited?

If your recurring bank transfer does not appear in your Meria account, there may be several reasons:

  • No transfer request was created before the transfer was sent;

  • The transfer reference was not entered or is incorrect;

  • The amount sent does not match the request created;

  • The transfer was sent from an account that does not meet the requirements;

  • The bank processing time has not yet elapsed.
